| Chapter 6: Calm, Assertive Power
It can be frustrating to get mixed signals, not know what expectations there are, or to want to help but not know how. Vladae will teach you how to ease your dog's frustration by being crystal clear. Using Doglish to communicate with your dog, and his unique techniques of reinforcement and praise that he calls "bite and lick," it calms the dog and provides him security. If he follows the rules mom will lick, if he doesn't mom bites. Real simple. When your dog feels secure, your dog feels loved, and behavior problems ease. Life becomes as understandable and predictable as it was with its mom's pack because your dog now knows who the boss is, he understands the language, rules, and how to behave.
YOGA OR CALM ASSERTIVE POWER
Vladae teaches his typical busy and stressful client to relax and to be less emotional "If you are emotional, then you can not be logical," says Vladae. "Stand straight, relax, breathe calmly and maintain a calm nonchalant attitude like James Bond. No worries. To help relax the client, it is common to play calming classical Russian music during the session.
BE ASSERTIVE NOT AGGRESSIVE
Assertiveness + Anger = Aggressiveness.
Aggressiveness - Anger = Assertiveness.
If you are angry you can not set the right tone to train your dog. Training necessitates giving praise as well as clear direction. Anger will not help.
